Semler Agro was created through a merger of 12 independent John Deere dealerships.

This consolidation created an acute need to consolidate the brand and replace a fragmented and outdated e-commerce solution. The existing platform provided a poor user experience and lacked integration with business-critical systems. For the farmers, this meant a difficult and time-consuming process to find and order the right spare parts from a catalog of over 150,000 item numbers, which was a direct barrier to efficient business.

In a close partnership with Semler Agro, we developed a new, national B2B e-commerce platform built on Umbraco and Ucommerce. The focus was to create a solution that could technically handle enormous product complexity while delivering an intuitive and simple user experience for the farmer.

  • ERP Integration: A deep integration with Semler Agro's ERP system (Dynamics AX) ensures that customers always see correct prices and stock status in real-time.

  • Advanced Search Function: Customers can quickly find the right spare part by searching for a machine number, which filters the catalog and minimizes the risk of incorrect orders.

  • Integration with John Deere Parts Catalog: The solution integrates directly with John Deere's spare parts catalog, giving customers access to "exploded-view diagrams." From here, they can visually identify and add the precise part to their cart.
